One Moment, One Click, One Wonderful Memory. That's what wedding photography is all about. It's capturing those moments so that you can cherish them forever. It is an honor for me to shoot weddings because I'm given the opportunity to tell a beautiful story through photographs. It gives me the ability to show everyone what true love is through my eyes. Your wedding day is all about you. It's about the memories you will make. It's about the moments that you will remember forever. I take great pride in taking the best photographs that I'm capable of. I'm not in the game to be the best photographer out there; I'm only out to be the best photographer for you. That to me, is most important.

The website/blog serves two purposes, first and foremost as a photo portfolio to showcase my work. Second, it serves as a blog so you can see into my world and learn a bit about me and my personality. I believe it to be the utmost importance to pick a photographer that you can get along with; a photographer that makes you laugh and feel completely comfortable in front of the camera. Great photos happen when you are yourself, not when you are reserved. Through this blog I hope to show you my best work and my personality to help you figure out if I'm the right photographer for you. Thanks for visiting and I hope to hear from you!

Margaret and Harry’s Wedding

Margaret and Harry were a couple that I’ve known since college and it was pretty much agreed upon between all our friends that it was pretty much destiny that they met. We all knew that they would eventually get married one day. So when they came to me to ask me to shoot their wedding, I felt like it was an incredible honor that was bestowed on me. Thanks guys, for letting me be a part of your wedding!

They had already gotten their hair done before I met up with them (which was fabulous by the way). I was lucky enough to capture some neat photos of her touching up her makeup.

After hair, makeup, and getting the gown on, she transformed into an incredibly beautiful bride :).

The ceremony itself was held at Santa Clara University’s Mission Church, which is such a beautiful place to get married in.

One day he’ll be able to afford a real one :).
The bouquets were all made out of beads, and this was the first time I’ve ever seen that. They look awesome!
Harry was also a big movie buff, so their theme at the reception was based on being at the Drive-In. They had a table full of treats that you could get at a movie theater.
And also a table of stuff that you can’t get at a movie theater, though they should start doing so ;).

Ammone and Chris’ Wedding

Over the years, my photography style has changed quite a bit. The one aspect that has remained constant is that I still love shooting close up photos. I have always felt that certain aspects of love and intimacy can only be captured close up. When you are close, you get to see the love in the bride’s eyes by the way she looks at her new husband; you see how much he loves her by how tightly he pulls her in. The emotional aspect isn’t hard to capture, however the technical aspects make it difficult. When you’re shooting that close, you generally want to isolate the emotion you’re trying to pull out. The problem is, at wide open apertures, you tend to not get everything in focus. What makes it even harder is that you don’t have much time to think. One you see the shot, you have to capture it, otherwise the moment is gone. This has always been a challenge for me, and throughout my experiences I’ve gotten better at this and I hope that I’ll continue improving.

I just loved the back lighting in this ceremony venue. It gave me many good shot opportunities!

Next to the venue was a nice empty parking lot. I thought I’d do a boy band type shot for the groomsmen.

The color of this wall was amazing too!

This is probably my favorite shot.

Why have champagne when you can have 40 ounce malt liquor at your wedding?

He really knew how to dance!

It’s great when everyone’s having a good time. The photos always turn out so cool :).

There was definitely a lot of love at that wedding.

Michelle and Ron’s Engagement Session

We walked all around Monterey, CA last Sunday to get some cool shots. It’s amazing what you can find just by walking around the town. Of course, it’s a lot of hard work and exercise, but I think it totally paid off. There were so many nice photos that came out of this shoot that it was really hard for me to pick my favorites, so I just picked numbers and posted a few on here.

We were walking around and saw these orange pylons.. I thought it would be cool to get a shot in them.

It totally smelled like fish. The following pictures were all taken in that area. I’m surprised that Michelle and Ron could pose and take photos without wincing at the smell!
